Actuon Control Cable — DB25 to DB9
The pre-assembled control cable that carries one Actuon8 control channel to the control connector of a servo drive. This is the same cable supplied with every Actuon8 Motion Controller Package, sold individually as a spare or as an addition to an existing installation.
Each cable carries one control channel. A belt tensioner uses two, a 3DOF platform four and a 6DOF platform seven.

Why use the COG cable
The cable carries the signal assignment expected by the Actuon8 and by the published servo drive parameter baseline. A cable assembled to a different signal assignment will not reproduce the documented behaviour, and the resulting installation falls outside the validated configuration.

If you are moving from one configuration to another — belt tensioner to 3DOF, or 3DOF to 6DOF — you need the additional cables and the corresponding servo drive parameters. The parameter documentation is published with the Actuon8.
Compatibility
For use with the Actuon8 motion controller. The Actuon8 has been validated with the AASD-15A servo drive configured as specified in the COG documentation, driving a 90ST-M02430 AC servo motor. Compatibility with other servo drives, servo motors, hardware revisions or equivalent implementations is not guaranteed and is not supported unless explicitly validated by COG in writing.
Scope of supply and support
COG supplies control electronics, control wiring and software. Servo drives, servo motors, actuators, mechanical structure and host PC are not supplied by COG.
