The COG-MHS-EC135 Medical Helicopter Rescue Simulator is a professional training system developed for air medical crews, emergency physicians, nurses, paramedics and rescue technicians operating aboard Airbus EC135 helicopters.
Rather than focusing on pilot instruction, the simulator recreates the medical and operational environment experienced by HEMS crews during real emergency missions. Healthcare professionals develop technical skills, decision-making and team coordination under realistic conditions, without exposing patients or crews to operational risk.
Powered by the Actuon Ecosystem
Motion is delivered by Actuon, the motion control technology COG designs and builds in-house: the Actuon8 motion controller, COG control wiring and the Actuon control layer, driven by Actuon Control Manager Professional Edition, supplied with the system under licence.
Because COG builds the motion hardware, the control electronics and the software, the movement can be tuned to the specific profile of an aeromedical mission rather than adapted from a generic motion library. It also means one supplier is responsible for the whole motion chain.
