System architecture

• Motion: latest-generation COG 3DOF motion system, powered by the Actuon Ecosystem — four electromechanical actuators, Actuon8 motion controller and Actuon-SIB safety module with emergency stop
• Chassis: aluminium frame designed and manufactured by COG, with mounts that reproduce the real structure of a top-level rally car
• Seats and restraint: two competition bucket seats with six-point harnesses, for driver and co-driver
• Steering: high-torque direct drive wheel base on a custom extended shaft with bearings, and rally rim
• Pedals: hydraulic pedal set with adjustable brake pressure
• Shifter and handbrake: sequential shifter and hydraulic handbrake
• Co-driver station: custom fibre footrest with two configurable buttons, reading light, notebook and pens
• Instrumentation: shift light and digital dash for real-time data, plus a custom button box
• Crew communication: professional motorsport intercom with rally headsets
• Recording: onboard action camera with dedicated mount
• Vision: triple 65" 4K OLED on an external free-standing frame

Motion software

This is a finished COG motion system. It is supplied with a motion software edition, specified in your quotation.

• SimHub — private, non-commercial use. SimHub software and any licence it requires are not included and must be obtained separately.
• Actuon Control Manager Standard Edition — commercial and professional use permitted.
• Actuon Control Manager Professional Edition — commercial and professional use permitted, and adds the analysis engine with full-rate capture, replay and run-to-run comparison, 3D visualisation and actuator tuning, deep hardware diagnostics and the External API.

Both ACM editions permit commercial use, so no edition is reserved for running the simulator as a business and no separate commercial authorisation is required. Professional is the choice when you want to tune the simulator against measurements rather than by feel, and to see and diagnose what the platform is doing — which is also what keeps a training rig behaving the same from one session to the next.
